I'm running ProTools 12.4.0 on 10.8.5 and it does work although Avid also says "not supported (untested) but I'm considering...

Smile PT 9.0.5 with Lion - unable to open other MIDI apps open as standalone

PT 9.0.5 with Lion and having these SW open as STANDALONE:
(Garage Band, Audio MIDI Setup AMS, Sibelius, Logic)

NONE of these applications will open unless I connect to my DIGI 002R AND a Pro...

(4 minutes into it we get a message " Audio MIDI setup couldn't open the MIDI server so you can't view or edit...

I'm also experiencing this and it's very frustacting.
It's not just Garage Band. Try to open the MIDI window under "Audio MIDI Setup" and you will also realize that MIDI window loads forever....

midi patch names via USB ?

Hi;

My " Yamaha Motif6.midnam " works beautifully with my Motif 7 as long as I have it connected via MIDI.
As soon as I switch it to a USB connection, it stops locating the midi patch name...
