One word of caution:

If you do the complete uninstall it will wipe out the Pro Tools app and any/all files that are associated (i.e. virtual instruments, plugins, etc.)

Well,

I'm on Pro Tools 10/Digi 003 with OSX 10.6.8 so this may not solve your problem but it did mine, just last night.

I recently purchased PT 9 and then upgraded to PT 10. I loved PT so much...

Thanks Dave,

I am aware of this but I picked up a used one at a good price and it will be a good while before I jump to Pt 11 whenever it is released.

I just want to make sure I won't lose Pt 9...

Just to bring this thread to a close, I fixed the problem. I removed the "Engine.dpm" files and everything is working it appears. Now I just have to learn how to use the program!!!
