I think Avid is quite correct not to offer the bridge. Steinberg has had nothing but criticism for having a bridge, as has Apple with Logic. Avid has done the honest thing. Told users what their...

Not quite; using VE Pro for slaves, you can use offline bounce in all other audio applications.
