I did 208 episodes like that, acting with the half speed is not easy but after 4 whole season, it's fine ;-)

Ok, after a lot of try same issue, I try in 16/24/32 bit, 44.1, 48, 96 etc
In protools 2018, 2019, 2020, fresh install each time. Just my HD I/O + HDX, internal or external clock, same **** !

I want to record my voice at half speed (shift+cmd+space). When my rec is done, I play back at normal speed and obtain a high pitch voice. But since version 11, the result is full of click...
