Can any modules be added above the S4 CSM Channel Strip Module or is that section of the frame considered completely occupied when it has a CSM?

You can use the Carbon main unit for 24 I/O (8 Mic/Line analog, 16 ADAT), plus the 8 analog (16 total) on two Carbon Pre units.

Was there a solution for this? There's no other way I'm aware of to download the Sonic Drops other than using Avid Link. About half of them fail to install and crash Link.

Ok, so after re-reading the manual, I don't think you can use ADAT at all in Carbon Expanded mode. ADAT is only for standalone mode I believe.

Something doesn't seem right. Avid discontinued the HD I/O. For a Sweetwater rep to recommend this now and sell you the unit seems suspect. The HD I/O units are intended for HDX systems.
