Yep, Andy B is describing what I'm seeing. I'm willing to bet the surest fix would be to buy a separate SIIG PCI FW bus, and run the drive off that, while leaving the 002 connected to the board...

Are you Gigabyte users able to use external FW drives at all?

I can't seem to get an external drive and my 002R happening at the same time. Definitely one or the other, but never both. If I have...

Follow-up question. I just found this, it looks a lot like the guitardom build. Assuming I throw in a drive, XP, and TI firewire (or not?) would this do the trick?

Hi! So, I've been reading this thread quite a bit lately as I'm looking for a new PC for my 002R setup. Obviously i7 is the most alluring, powerful setup etc. But most of what you guys talk about...
