Re: AVID Must DO Something for AAX DSP

At least most Avid plugs are AAX DSP ported.
I miss TL Space though. It's only AAX Native so far.
The Aphex Aural Exciter is only TDM, which means it's unusable in my HDX system. C'mon Avid.

Re: real time vari-speed query

If you own a vari-speedable device you could use a Digidesign Sync I/O to control the speed of Pro Tools in real time. Prepare for rewinding some tape again...

A cheaper way to change the speed of...

Re: Drum Programming - Using Loops - Advice Requested

EZdrummer and its EZX expansions come with lots of categorized midi-files played by drummers. It's very quick to drag and drop editable blocks to your sequencer to compile your songs.

Re: Where To Put Instruments For Structure Free

I found the QuickStart sounds here:

That's where I've now put the rest of my Structure sounds.

Anyway, you can keep sounds anywhere and just add the folders to...

Re: m/s processing

Everything is OK when I start the ms_codec_69.pts on my system.

The only tracks that should be inverted are -r and -s. The other trim inserts are only there for preventing timing differencies.

Re: Library for Structure? can we make a list of what works?

Structure won't read Instruments from my Sample Cell II CDs.
I've tried to import everything to disc and put the .wav files in the same folder as the .ins file.
Any ideas?

Re: m/s processing

Thank you AKA.
The Brainworx plug seems to be a handy stereo widener.

It lacks the possibility to process mid and side signals independently though. The ms_codec matrix splits a stereo signal...

Re: m/s processing

Thanks for the tip Drew. Now it's a .zip file.

Re: Weird waveforms, anyone ever seen this?

Looks like unaudible low frequency energy. Try a high pass filter at 30 Hz or so before mastering.

Re: Digipack = Hand luggage on an airplane?

Seems my question is answered with "probably no". Thanks Mike.

I've got lots of peripheral equipment that I'd like to bring along, but I'll probably have to send that in a separate bag.
