So, if I do go for a TB 3 or 4 dock, can I indeed derive multiple video outputs from the dock?

Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge! I think I can accomplish this with just an HDMI splitter, then, and not a dock. I sure appreciate your help.

Aha, they tout it as “thunderbolt COMPATIBLE,” and I didn’t realize that monitors on USB-C were cpu hogs. OWC says this is an actual Thunderbolt dock: better?...
