just an update for those interested in this topic.

only solution was a complete reinstall of OS 10.6.7 then incrementally migrating things across while making sure all of the software was up to...

Just repaired the permissions and unfortunately it didn't change the problem.

Last night I went through and deleted a ton of old programs, caches, etc from the transfer and still no luck yet.

yes brand new (2 weeks old) 4 core I7 2.2ghz.
8gb of RAM
500GB 7200 rpm internal HD.

I was running 7.4 on an older MBP. did the data transfer to my new MBP. air plugins froze any session I opened. deleted prefs, etc, no success. Removed all plugs ins except 1 AIR plug. still froze. I...

I just bought a new MBP and therefore upgraded my PT to PT9.

All Air plugs, DB33 all cause my system to freeze while running without any interface connected. Just the Ilok.
