Hi everyone. Sorry for the very delayed response. I just ended up going in manually and fixing everything. I'll report back if this happening again and use do the things suggested here.

Midi Notes Shifted Slightly When Imported

Hello,

When I import midi notes, and I zoom in closely, I see this:

Re: Tweak Head (Slowest) vs. Best For Sample Conversion

Yes, I would also prefer the best possible. If I have to leave the computer on overnight, so be it! Plus, this particular process is not that slow anyways. Might as well go for the best.

Re: Video Claims PT Processes at 32-bit by Default

Well, I basically wanted to output a master 24-bit / 48 kHz file, and I assumed that I would not need to dither this (unlike when I would down sample to CD standard). My question now is, do I still...

Tweak Head (Slowest) vs. Best For Sample Conversion

I want to bring in some samples into a project. My PT project is at the standard 24-bit / 48 kHz, but the sample is 24-bit / 44.1 kHz. When I am converting it (applying SRC), do I use the quality...

Video Claims PT Processes at 32-bit by Default

Check this out:

https://youtu.be/kI4oWKINVpc?t=1m59s

Is what he is saying true? Will audio always be processed in PT at 32-bit by default? When I create a session, I select the bit depth at...

Re: Bouncing out AAC or OGG

Sorry for being unclear. So basically, I have a 24-bit / 48 kHz session, and a corresponding .wav file (the master file). I want two versions for distribution:

1. A 16-bit / 44.1 kHz .wav file for...

Re: Bouncing out AAC or OGG

Makes sense. Thank you.

Just to add, can I convert directly from a 48 kHz file, or should I convert down to 44.1 kHz first?

Thanks for the help :)

Re: Bouncing out AAC or OGG

Thanks for the replies!

Didn't know VLC can convert files. That is very cool! That will be perfect to create OGG files.

On a side note, should I be converting the non-dithered 24-bit / 48 kHz...

Bouncing out AAC or OGG

What are you folks doing to create lossy files? Are there any addons for PT that llow you to do this natively? If not, is there any industry preferred software?

Re: Best Practices for Exporting Track?

Interesting, but I thought the whole idea of an offline bounce is that it is faster than real time?

Also, regarding the last part of your comment, are there other bounce types you recommend? I was...

Re: Best Practices for Exporting Track?

Sorry, but I do not understand option 3. Is that what people are talking about when the say they "print" the final track from the master to another audio track within the Pro Tools session it self?...

Best Practices for Exporting Track?

So, I have completed a track in PT and it is ready to share with the world. How do I encode a .wav file so that it sounds exactly like what I hear in PT without any distortion or loss of importation?...

Yes, fully zoomed in and nudge set to 1 (the nudge value is visible at the top of the image). Not sure why that happened, but no worries!
