So what you're saying is that you saw info that states Digi has made a running production change? Now the core card for PCIe and PCI cards are effectively accel core cards? That's good news. I wonder...

Who\'s running software higher than 6.1 on a D24?

I know that Digi only "officially" supports 6.1 on OSX 10.2 with a D24 system. But in the past that has only meant it wasn't tested any longer. Is anyone having luck with higher software versions for...

Re: Least Expensive was to get into TDM

That's correct. There is a single "mixer" chip on the D24 card and the i/o cards. They can handle 32 tracks each. Two core cards or one core and one i/o will give you 64 tracks.

Re: Ways to Sync Tascam Reel to my 192 IO?

We do this all the time at our studio. We have an Otari MX5050 and track drums and bass through it. The key is to record through it, not to it. We don't sync anything. Run the drums through the tape...

Re: Least Expensive was to get into TDM

You can do it for about $1000.00. I have an HD3 rig and was in need of a second rig for an editing/overdub room. I was able to get a D24, vintage farm, 882/20, 1622, and adat bridge for 1200.00. Keep...

Re: Anyone have the chirping sound from the new G5

My dual 2 gig chirps as well. It's a documented issue with the Mac help center. They don't have a solution other than to swap out your power supply. Apparently that doesn't usually work either. So as...

Re: Tips for removing Click Track Bleed??

Get the musicians to add a nice percussion part to the break and cover it up. Use a shaker or something like that and make it look like it was supposed to be there.

Re: pro users-What do you use for backup?

We use regular or dual layer DVDs (the 9 gig type) and ide drives in firewire hotswap trays. DVDs for the more permanent backup and the ide drives for a kind of working backup. We insist that every...

If a PC program is an option as you stated. Then look no further than CD Architect. By far the best CD authoring software on the market.
