That could be the SP2 issue that people have been getting. If you do a search around here I think that rebooting was one of the symptons. The cs9 is supposed to resolve that. Maybe someone else...

When exactly does you PC shutdown and reboot. AT what point? Is it when you start ProTools? or when exactly?

Also, is your MBox connected to the onboard USB port or do you have a seperate USB...

PT LE should work with XP Pro edition. Which service pack do you have? If you have installed SP2 then you need to get the latest update for PT 6.4 which is cs9...get it from the downloads section...

There *are* inserts in the MBox but only for an external sound source. For what you want you will need 2in 4out, but...

Thanks for that tip. Never really considering trying to do it manually. Looks like I'm going to have to get my hands dirty until they give us the freeze feature.
