SCell doesn't crash if SVP is not running.
Also, we threw away all aold pref files (that is one of the first things we do after a crash). Thanks.

We've cleared all old pref files after installing OS8. SCell always crashes w/ SVP running if I touch the "FILE" portion of the SCell menu.
