Re: Mojave Pro Tools 2019.05 SSD Trim Enable (Y or N?)

That program hasn't been needed in years. Why pay for something you can do in Terminal for free?

Re: Mojave Pro Tools 2019.05 SSD Trim Enable (Y or N?)

It would have taken less time to Google the answer than it did to write your post. See this article: https://www.howtogeek.com/222077/how-to-enable-trim-for-third-party-ssds-on-mac-os-x/

You...

Re: At my wits end!

8 gig of ram is the bare minimum for running PT12. Can you put more ram in the computer? It would help if you gave the full specs on your Mac. Laptop or desktop? etc.

As to plugins it doesn't...

Re: Sad news for Dave Mustaine

I sure hope so. It isn't going so well for Beth Chapman (Dog the Bounty Hunter's wife). Her throat cancer which was cured a couple of years ago has come back with a vengeance. She's in a medically...

Re: Bug: Sub paths messed up

Forgive me as I made an error - it's a regular left click for those who's mice are setup normal. On my system I work lefthanded and the mouse buttons are swapped left for right.

Re: Bug: Sub paths messed up

Understood but you didn't answer my question: what happens if you create a new track from a send in the usual way of right clicking a send slot?

Re: 2018 MBP GPU Tornado

Here's one even weirder - are you sure it's not the battery that's overheating? Apple is once again recalling certain MBP's because of battery overheating issues.

Re: Bug: Sub paths messed up

What happens if you click on a send slot in the track you want to create the send in and select 'new track' and do the rest of your business?

Re: Upgrading a Mac Pro 5.1 12core 2.4Ghz

Thanks for the explanation.
As to your second paragraph whether a drive is considered external seems to depend on the OSX in use. My system drive is a 1TB ssd on a pcie adapter card that I...

Re: Upgrading a Mac Pro 5.1 12core 2.4Ghz

Your post is wrong on so many levels.
Do you have any links to back your assertion about the boot times?
Pcie is external h/w? Since when? It sure is internal to the computer.

Re: Error 6101 ?

You don't know about buffer settings?
Do you even know how to use PT? I'd suggest getting a good learner's book like the PT101 courseware book and go through it. Or maybe something like a PT...

Re: Error 6101 ?

What exactly are you doing when the error comes up? Inserting or deleting a plugin? Starting/stopping the transport repeatedly in quick order? What are your buffer settings? How many cpu cores do you...

Re: Menu bar greyed out after I close a session

I've seen it on the odd occassion. Go to the Dock and right click on the PT icon and see if it says 'application not responding'. That means something locked up PT and you have to force quit PT and...

If you're asking about nvme drives that's one I can't answer but Darryl Ramm can - he's the dude on that area.

Re: Do I need to reinstall PT 10.3.7?

I don't know if that will help your problem. The Google search is dead simple: just enter the term "error DAE 7054" without the quotations marks into the Google front page. Or even simpler highlight...

UA knows about the problem from multiple people. As far as the synth it's called Lion and it's still in development. There's not word one about it on their website. Here's a KVR thread on it; the...

Re: Do I need to reinstall PT 10.3.7?

I would say to chill out - it's only been 12 hours since you started this thread. A lot of people that post here actually have working lives and don't spend all day here. Just because there's a ton...

If you'd have said that to begin with none of this back and forth would have happened. Like I said that date in history is still an open wound for those of us who lost friends/classmates that day.

You quoted Darryl but I see nothing in what he said as a conspiracy theory. If you think it is then explain it.
