I've tried with the forte power supply on and off. Obviously I can't access the mics without the mains but it does sound crystal clear just bus powered when listening to...

just purchased the forte based on its low noise preamps however plugged it in and seems to have alot of buzzing and static noise like wind.

For mixing this software is a no brainer in terms of how much ram can be accessed and the fact that its 64 bit. There must be a catch using it with protools though.
