My secret fo a great sound is Avalon 737sp- tube Tech Compressor-Cranesong HEDD A/D. I the nuse oxford Dynamics with warmth control and Oxford EQ. Great sound

Thanks Mike, I have done some more experiments. The sample delay is definitely 93 samples for the hardware insert 192 analogue. If you bus to an Aux you add 10 samples so then the delay is 103. These...

AMEK channel in a box or any Neve stuff. It has the mid range presence and warmth. Mercenary Great River NV box would do the trick. images/icons/grin.gif

The A/D of the HEDD was better than all others in my test
I have not tried the DA of the HEDD versus 192, but have felt in the past...

I have just upgraded to HD with 192 and have kept my Apogee AD8000SE I also have a Cranesong HEDD. My conclusions having listened from many hours today
1) Hd 192 is the best DA, it is clearer...

I have just installed NI studio edition with B4, Battery, and pro-52 synth. It is supposed to work OK with a Mac G4 350 and I have OS 9.04 with plenty of RAM allocted to DAE and PT (Mixplus 5.1.1)....
