FWIW If you ever get all four cores up, it was suggested to me that I use 3 for pro tools and 1 for OS...I can't remember the error that I kept getting when using all four but I do remember solving...

I think I've really solved this problem permanantly with my mackie universal pro controller and extender. Try this. In the menu options go to setup/midi/midi beat clock...uncheck the box of the usb...

Thanks Dave...After reading your reply I looked in the controllers folder and there is a HUI-Motormix dll in there.

I did set it up in the peripherals and and it should be okay but something is causing it to lose contact? The manual says the drivers install automatically which they did when I connected it.

Actually what I mean is that I have a USB cable connected to the USB port on the back of the Mackie and it's connected to a USB port on my PC! Should I be using a midi to USB interface?
