Re: Pro Tools 9-Waves Problems

Have you made sure you are running PT as "Administrator"? That will solve the HUI problem and perhaps the Waves problem also. That's required for Win7 x64

Re: 2 Problems after Upgrade PT9 to PT10: "Controller-Personality MBox3" and "MP3.dll

EvilTubbie,
I'm so glad I found your post! I downloaded the PT10 trial today. Was a little concerned when it told me to uninstall PT9.0.6 because I'm not sure I want to make the jump to 10. That's...

Re: ProTools 9 on Phenom PC. It's ok?

I have an AMD Thuban 1075 (6 core). It kills my i5 quad core Intel machine. Those extra 2 physical cores allow a much higher plugin count (of the same brand and types of plugins)

Go with and Asus...

Re: Why PT10 is not 64 bit... let's get this over with ;)

At this point I don't much care what the reason is for not having a 64 bit version. PT10 needed to be 64 bit native to be competitive with, well, everyone else. All the other DAW companies have...

Re: Question about SSD as windows HD

It is NOT your SSD. It sounds like a buffering problem, but without further system info people on this forum won't be able to help you much. What buffer settings are you running? Are you using any...

Re: Can I run Sonar on PT Native Card? to migrate songs over to PT.

I'm assuming you are working on a PC, since Sonar is PC only. You may be disappointed by the performance you get from Pro Tools on a native system. I consistently get higher track counts and much...

Re: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T

I've been using a 1075T with a mild overclock and it has been running great ever since PT9 came out. Now if they would just code it 64 bit native it would be the bomb. Since it's not, I use 64 bit...

Re: PT 9.0 - Mackie Onyx 1640i and Firewire

Sorry, not gonna happen DonaldM. The Motif can send audio back and forth to a PC because the PC has a driver written for it that facilitates that. Ditto the Mackie 1640i. No such driver exists that...

Re: PT9 and the Mackie Onyx 1640i

I know this thread is getting a little old now, but I have been using both an 820i and a 1640i on 2 different systems (820i on AMD 6 core machine, 1640i on Intel Core 2 duo machine) and both have...

Re: Protools 9 and AMD processor

I have a Phenom 940 on a Gigabyte board, and a Thuban 1075 (6 core) on an Asrock board. Windows Vista 64 bit on the former, Windows 7 64 bit on the latter. They both ran PT 8.0.4 just fine, and now...

Re: PTs9 w/ AMD chips?

I can't vouch for the mobo, but I'm running an AsRock mobo with a Thuban 1075 6 core and Win7 64-bit and it rocks hard. No "wish I'd got an Intel" thoughts at all. Truth be told, I have a couple of...

Re: Anyone using Mackie ONYX 1640i with PTMP?

I've had a Mackie 820i for about a month now, running with PT9 and it has worked flawlessly! I purchased this mixer/interface specifically so that I could test the concept on my home rig before I...

Re: who upgraded?

Actually, Cubase does automatically compensate for latency on hardware returns. I know that Live also has the capability to manually set compensation in ms.

I, too, cross graded and for me the...

Re: Your PT 9 Rig

Re: Im Buying A Computer Along With Pro Tools M-Powered, I Need Help

I think you are confusing 64 bit computers and 64 bit operating systems. You are exactly right: most computers on the market today that would be capable of running any DAW contain 64 bit CPU's,...

Re: PT 9,what a Mpowered user should do?

As one who did the crossgrade from LE one thing became abundantly clear after using it a couple of hours:

If 8.0.4 M-Powered is sufficient for your needs, you will be a little disappointed to have...

Re: Installing PT LE 7 M Audio-mini on Windows 7 64bit

Pro Tools 7 is NOT gonna happen on Win 7 x64

But....

as to your last question, PT8.0.4 works quite well on this OS. I've been doing it for several months now and been very pleased.

Re: I heard this rumor today

This doesn't make sense...why continue to develop a closed, low end system when the the whole thrust of the Pro Tools launch was the new "openness" of Pro Tools?

Check out the PT9 launch...

Re: NEED HELP! Pro Tools Win7 64Bit

Your memory is SERIOUSLY mismatched! The Micron is much slower than the Kingston. That could very well cause problems. When you add memory, it should at least have the same speed and CAS settings;...

Re: Pro Tools 8.0.3 on Vista 64 bit Perfection!

Re: 64 bit compatibility

FWIW, I've been running PT 8.0.3 in Win7 64-bit RC for a couple of months now and it runs great. I even have access to all of my older 32 bit plugs (mostly Waves) and they run well also. UAD cards...

Re: Blasts of white noise and sync errors??!

I have been struggling along with this problem for several weeks now with kind of a strange twist:

Running PT 8.0.3 on WinXP SP3 causes these problems all over the place. On Win7 64 bit RC,...
