Tracks/Layouts not displaying properly when opening sessions

We just got the S6, but quick access to Automation and Layouts is definitely the most important to all of the mixers at our facility and I think for any post-production mixer in general. The shift+1...

We frequently use CTL clutch to momentarily suspend parameters from groups, but it also puts knobs into a very fine resolution mode which makes it pretty much unusable. Can this scheme be changed? ...

Yes all that visual feedback is great when the parameter is showing on a knob.
