Re: Slate FG-BOMBER Dynamic Impact Enhancer

Indeed FG-BOMBER can add some nice life to tracks. Here is a tip on using it that people seem to be liking:

The Bomber’s DRIVE Control and how it is set, will determine whether the processor's...

Re: Massey and Slate

I agree that the Cntrl+Click to bypass an individual instance's group settings was a useful feature and it's going back asap.

Hope you guys enjoy the update.

Re: Slate Digital AAX-DSP?

Hi guys. Thanks for the continued conversation.

The best thing to do is to wait till we complete some immediate goals (VCC, FG-X, VMS), and then we'll do some polling in 2015 to figure out the...

Re: Slate Digital AAX-DSP?

Hi folks. We're focusing right now on getting VCC and FG-X into AAX Native first, and then we have the Virtual Microphone System coming out.

After that, we'll have to revisit the AAX DSP...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Thanks man! I can't wait to get VCC 2.0 in that rack, it's gonna be killer! I'm working on VCC stuff right now actually.. the VMR reception has really brought the motivation level up another notch!...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. Just a quick correction, the VMR has zero latency. Drew was on the beta team and there was 6 samples of latency on the EQs at one point, but it turned out that a...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Hi Rosco, it appears that you are unaware of the difference between a software that functions as is intended, as SSD4 does, and one that as time goes on, needs new features that make it better. SSD4...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Totally agree on our groove player with SSD4. Hence why this will be all new in SSD5 :-)

In fact, we have a document with requests which yours are likely included in, which we based the new...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Hi Raoul, glad I can help. The AAX version in PT10 32bit would be the exact same CPU as the RTAS. However when you make the jump to PT11, you'll see dramatic difference with AAX 64bit! :-)

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Not as soon as it will be released. But we're aiming to get it out not too long after. We actually made some big strides today alone. Newsletter coming.

Hi Raoul. Let's be clear on a few...

Hi Rosco. Please feel free to speak directly to me if you so desire, since I'm here joining the discussion, and the whole third person thing is a bit odd.

This already strikes me as...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

I'll take the childish little "haha" all day long over the angry "after all this time there is still one bug???".

Welcome to software development. Some of it is an exact science, and lot of it is...

Re: Is there an easy way to pop inserted plugins out into Audiosuite?

Hi Meads, I'm not sure where you think we said we "invented the macro", because we've never claimed this.

But what we did create was a very cool macro system SPECIFICALLY FOR PRO TOOLS with about...

Re: Is there an easy way to pop inserted plugins out into Audiosuite?

Hi guys. That gimmick is consolidating, bouncing, and naming 72 tracks for me as I eat sushi and go through emails :) The gimmick also comes with a few thousand preset commands ready to go for Pro...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Sam, you appear to be confusing two separate issues.

My quote above is regarding getting hassled about the VMR release. I have said for months now that the VMR will be out when it's out, and my...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Why invest into it so much? Why not just wait till you get an email saying "it's here".

We didn't say one word about VMR during the whole beta cycle till someone leaked our tests with the...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

If you see the other forum thread, you'll realize that the entire reason behind it was to relieve people from having their hopes that the product was gonna release last week. Anyway, the best...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

We'll have a new beta build with the fix on Wednesday. We'll confirm with the user who had the issue that the bug was fixed, and if so, release Thursday.

Everything else such as web page,...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Hi, so we have one more beta build coming out to check on a last minute fix, then we'll release. Was hoping for today but I didn't want to do it without this last little fix.

Cheers,
Steven

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

Both plugins will be so drastically lower in CPU that you'll take down your Slate dart boards and start composing Slate love notes.

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

What an amazing idea Drew that I didn't even think about!

While not exactly a blend percent, with VCC in VMR, you will be able to create custom hybrid presets of several console modules, gain...

Re: Slate VMR releasing on Monday!

We did a public beta with VTM and it was actually a terrible situation which ended up causing a stable version to take much longer to perfect. After this long wait, I'd much prefer to one day send a...
