If you've measured the round trip latency of the path (which is easy to do), then just add a delay line with the additional latency desired.

Definitely not. Around 3msec is the point at which I start hearing "Hey Rich...something weird's going on in the phones...", and most of the rhythm players I work with will strongly object at 6msec....

What plugs are you using that will have 175 samples of latency?
Latency needs to be managed regardless of what kind of system you're using, but an HDX rig is capable of very large high-sample rate...
