I've just sold my 003R+/LE8 rig to a friend and we're having some problems setting it up.

When I've got his monitors plugged in we have no control over the level being sent and the mute...

As some of you probably know. The 11R gate is kinda crappy. Specially if playing with high gain settings. If you set it too a decent threshold it cuts out too quick. Back it off a little and there's...

PT 10 working just fine for me here too :)

Any of the current MacBook Pros will run PT just fine. Just remember that they are scheduled for a refresh shortly (New CPUs are coming out) so I'd wait...

I agree. Either would be fine.

But I strongly recommend waiting until the end of the month before purchasing (specially if going the MacBook Pro route). You'll be able to get an even more capable...

Disck Cache is only available for HD systems (HD License on iLok) or if you have the CPTK.

PT will not make use of the extra because it's still a 32bit app.

I doubt PT7 will work on 10.6.8

But I know you can run two different versions of OS X on your Mac.
Just partition your drive and install which ever version on which ever partition you like.

I'm using a 2009 i7 (2.8Ghz, 4GB RAM) with a 003R+ and Pt 10.
Only upgraded to Lion/PT10 within the last week so I haven't had time to use it a lot. But it works fine so far.

Well, looks like I'll probably be sending the 11R back to Unique Squared for a replacement once they get back to me (It's only Monday in the States right?).
