Help guys, I have this same problem too and its pretty embarrassing when people are asking whats going on? is something wrong with you system ? Why don't you get a Mac.

I like Western Digital for their reliability, but it seems a bit difficult to find them with Fw400 now unless your gonna buy the Mac ones or reformat or find them somewhere else than from my usual...

I don't know either but I would definitely recommend using an i7 cpu for the performance as protools is a memory hog and cpu intensive and also W7/64bit as we are all hoping that protools goes 64bit...

Chris I don't believe that motherboard will work. Although it has Pci-e, those slots are for graphic cards. The Pci-e slots you need are the shorter one, and they need to be side by side for...
