Thanks for reply!
Several sources told me this is indeed normal behaviour. Too bad the fader is not really better than the avid mix ones.
Im going to add the faders off soft-key, thanks for the tip!

I bought a new avid dock a few weeks ago. While using it I though the fader was making more noise than it should, it's about as loud as the artist mix faders. So I got a replacement...
