Re: Optimazation of ProTools 12.7.0

Do you mean Intel Rapid Start?

Rapid Start technology helps a computer sleep/resume faster and would really have no affect on Pro Tools. So, you can leave that enabled.

Re: Xpand directory for PT First

The installer should take care of putting all the files where they are supposed to be in order to make Pro Tools First work properly.

What platform are you on and did you run the installer for PTF?

Re: Error messages when I try to open project files

It looks like the Windows file association for ptx files is broken. This could be either a corrupt installation or that the association is pointing to an older install of PT, which it tries to look...

Re: New Mac Mini will the 6 core i3 support Pro Tools?

It really depends on what you do with PT and how big your sessions are, but in general, the i3 is on the light side of processing power for working with audio.

The i5 with 16GB of RAM would be a...

Re: PTF quits at startup - directing to Playback Engine

PTF requires that you have an ASIO compatible audio interface, which most internal sound cards are not. Although I generally don't recommend ASIO4ALL, you could give it a try to see if PTF will run...
