Might be that the mono sends are "direct" and the stereo one has more delay because it's summing? Just a guess.

I'm trying to get an easy way (and totally recallable) to send drums through the desk and have parallel compression using hardware. I'd assumed that the sends would have a delay...

Useful post this...

my current method is to split the kit into close mics and cymbally, roomy mic groups...it makes it easy to assign the EA plugs in a couple of clicks. Rhythmic for close mics...

Or you could create a new session, and using import session data bring in a bit at a time and make tracks, plugs etc inactive as you go.....

hmm... I'd make sure I had a copy of the session and then reboot.....whenever pt goes a bit loopy on me I switch off and start again...normally cures most ills......if it persists in silliness I go...

I think it's warning of the dangers of a re-intro :) or perhaps using the word 'stringage' has upset it.......

Could be a corrupted session.

Have you tried creating a new session and importing one or a few tracks (using the import session data option) of the old session into it until the the error...
