Thanks Edgar, like I said toolbar buttons only open a blank window displaying, well, nothing.
Same goes for menu selection.

No. The problem occurs when I change an audio track's state from "Input" to "Playback". In other words the audio gets distributed differently depending on the track's "Input" state.
