I changed the language settings and updated my graphic-card-drivers to the latest, and for now, it works!

@airon: Yes,i´m using German Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS, on a Dell Studio 1749 Laptop with i5 540 and 4gb ram and two seperate Harddisks, i installed PT9 on systemdrive and record on the other...

I have exactly the same problem as you, airon!!!

Waves 7.1, PT9 9.0.0., 9.0.1, 9.0.2, same issues!!

Strange thing is, most of the time i can work normally on a session and use most of the Waves...

OK i will give it another try, and do like you said and post the results later!

For now, the Mbox runs smooth with "normal" programs, like winamp,VLC, firefox (videos and streams etc.), even games...

@QuickDraw: Thats also my current solution to get it working... for now it runs without problems, and i hope i can do a recording on saturday (studio 16track....many songs...)....

@SpardaUK: i will post it if i get it to work :) my current solution is simple ---> use another interface,maybe from friends.... i plan buying another edirol/cakewalk if i dont get it to work...

I can do everything fine, playback,recording, analog mixing etc...

Yes, i tried running with administrator-rights, no difference!!

I got it working now for the first time, don´t know why or how, but i started a test-recording (its running for 30mins on 16 tracks...

OK, i have a recording session on saturday, and still cant get my mackie onyx1640i running with PT9, its frustrating!!!

Tried reinstalling PT9 & drivers, even cleaned them manually from registry...

@QuikDraw: I´m having the exact same behavior like you describe, and i also have an mbox2 mini :)

And you are right, every other program runs fine with the mackie-drivers and i can switch...

just plug it in and then do as i said before, try to "actualise" the driver and maybe it works then!

me thinks that you only need that much video-ram and graphicpower when you want to play (new) games...

have you tried the following steps?

.) go to your device-manager

.) find your mbox2 mini under audio controllers

.) right click "actualise driver software" or something on your mbox device...

@elite2468: yes, unbelievable but true, my protools runs stable on win7 64bit :) and it does run without expresscard, if you follow my instructions exactly!! :cool:
