Damn. Hope the DBA's are on it right now. I guess we can talk about what we were working on.

Was just applying parallel compression to my drum bus with the UA 175-B. Love that plug in!

LOL, my Universal Audio Interface utilizes thunderbolt. I’m up and running now, it was that god damn Application Manager..

Had a 4 hour session, no crashing. Looks like it was the Application Manager for me. I’ll push it tomorrow with plug-ins and see how it goes!

Already had Automatic Graphics unchecked, it was part of the Optimization process. Time to uninstall this Aplication Manager and see how it goes.

I don't get spikes to the red or core spikes. I did get this before though and it threw a -9173 error. I resolved this by completely ditching Native Instruments. I had my libraries on an external...

Thanks for the graphics card tip, I think that's a big part of the crashing. I'll try this tonight.

I've tried disconnecting all hardware already, dis-aggregated to just the UA Console and still...

So I did a few things and I was able to have a decent couple hour session before a CPU overload crash...

-I trashed the prefs
-Adjusted my monitor resolution 1 step down

Midi track is communicating with my Roland JDXA.

This happens with a single audio track too. So its not a track type issue.

No VI or plug-ins.
Just pro tools plug-ins, UAD plug-ins are in "Unused" folder
Yes, in a new session, only clip is a Midi clip. No audio data.

I like the sound from the natural analog MDP circuitry. Was hoping someone modeled it digitally, similar to the concepts of what Slate Digital did.

Thanks for the info! I had a feeling theres not much value using an analog channel strip for my set up. I'm using Guitar Rig 5 right now too. I like it a lot!
