Only way I know of is to have 2 screens and expand the PT window across both, then put edit on one, mix on the other. Don't think it can be done with 1 screen and swiping

Kontakt is the easiest way imho, but of course you need to own it as the demo version times out after 30 minutes. Structure free plays samples but the workflow is horrible.

Send your vocal to fx via a send off the vocal track, and send your fx aux channel outputs to the main out without going via a 'sum bus' is how i would do it.

In the mixes tab - if you find the mix for output 1&2, might be called main out or out 1&2, and turn down or mute all the faders that are the adat inputs from the second unit.

The new mic inputs are routed to your main output as well as protools in the Cuemix software mixer page. Whatever pair of outputs feeds your monitors (1&2?) you need to select them in Cuemix and...

You can run the trial without a hd native or hdx just on a regular computer for the surround as long as you have converters with enough outputs. I don't know about the Dolby Atmos sorry.
