Using 2021.3 on Catalina Pro Tools either hangs indefinitely when importing many files, or it freezes and shows as Not Responding under Force Quit.

I should have elaborated. My original files were ProRes, but I had to re-encode them as ProRes using the latest Compressor. I really don't know what the issue is, but the new files will play in Pro...

I had the same issue and my solution (or workaround) was to re-encode the video to Apple ProRes using the latest version of Compressor. Kind of a pain.

True, and it's too bad the half-speed record function was broken. I don't usually work with tracks in EA mode if I can help it so it's not too big a deal for me, but then I don't need to half-speed...

Not true - it's exactly the same as 1/2 Speed Record.

Enable Varispeed on all your tracks, cut the tempo in half, record your audio, then set the tempo back to normal. Works perfectly for me and...

I get clicks too. Why not just use Elastic Audio Varispeed? It accomplishes the exact same effect.

To delete a Key Signature:
With the Grabber tool, Option-click (Mac) or

I agree - my bounced mixes have never sounded different to me than playing the session, unless there's a routing issue or reverb tail getting cutoff.

You can choose a percentage of how close you want Beat Detective to move the clips to the grid. This helps tighten up a performance while keeping some of the human feel. Whenever I think I'm done...

Personally I (almost) never use Elastic Audio on drums - it just ruins the transients for me and bugs me every time I hear it, kind of like a low quality MP3. I use Beat Detective instead. You can...
