You need to have the actual dongle - Line 6 will send a license to your iLok account which you then synchronize to the dongle, which you need to have plugged in to a USB port in order to run the POD...

ok...just for the record - I was able to download the correct version and all is working now - but it seems like if I hit the scroll button on my mouse it locks up and shuts pro tools all the way...
