Just try and record on the systemdrive and see if it works for you. Just because its not suported doesnt mean its not going to work. I have an Imac and i recorded for a long time on a external USB...

I got my Superior verry cheap I got a serial code from a musicmagasine for EZdrummer lite and the I bought an upgrade to EZdrummer then crossgrade to Superior drummer so I got both EZ and superior...

Dont know about strike or DC3 but Toontrack EZdrummer and Superior Drummer 2 has big midilibrarys with an easy drag n drop function. I use SP 2 and it sounds killer.
