What about my suggestion to record a recording?

That should remove variables while unavoidably introducing the sonic elements of an extra trip through D/A, amp, monitor, and mic.. But at least...

Doesn't work like that on a 003..

The mod involves the preamps and the converters and there is no insert point/direct out after the pres

I haven't listened, but..

Since you can't split the Mic signal, would it not be a possibility to use 2 matched mics to record the same performance...? I'm thinking the mics would have less...
