Re: Embedding Loops in audio sample for import to sampler

Its probably just the terminology as I'm sure you're familiar with how samples work. Say you have a sample of a pad sound and you want to import that into a VI that allows you to import your own...

Re: Embedding Loops in audio sample for import to sampler

Yes, Omnisphere does recognize any embedded loop data on a sample. Unfortunately, they don't provide any way to edit an imported sample the way you can with, say, Structure.

I discovered...

Re: Midi issue

Another solution, and how I normally do it when I have multiple instances of the same VI, each on their own instrument track. I set up a MIDI track for each part and direct the MIDI output of that...

Embedding Loops in audio sample for import to sampler

Is there a way to put embedded loops into an audio clip for import into a sampler. In this case I want to take a sample, create an embedded loop, and then import it into Omnisphere to create a...

Re: PT2018 on Multiple Monitors

I don't see that in the Windows version. Must be a Mac thing.

Re: PT2018 on Multiple Monitors

Dave - Well, that's a new one for me. I had no idea you could float a plugin screen off the parent screen. Still not sure why I'd do that, though, since I use both screens for edit/mix, like you do.

Re: PT2018 on Multiple Monitors

Obviously you can do that now as long as the PT host screen is across both monitors. That's what I do. I have the edit screen on the left side, and the mix screen on the right, usually full screen...

Re: PT2018 on Multiple Monitors

I don't know. As I said, if there is a way to do this, I've never seen it. But to be honest, I've never really had a need to do it. Even if it could be done, what's the advantage?

Re: PT2018 on Multiple Monitors

The mix, edit, midi and plugin windows all sit inside the main PT window. I use 2 monitors and the only way I know is to take the main background window across both monitors, and then open edit...

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

IntelCore i7 CPU 920@2.67GHz

Obviously its time to make an upgrade. ...

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

A recent thread on a CPU spike issue by a PT user got me wondering - what is the best/fastest CPU for Win-10 these days that will work with PT, and what MOBO would be the "best" for it?

A...

Re: Dealing with fx on various VI's and Mixing

I tend to like to leave all fx processing for the final mix, too. But the reality is that some patches on some VI's just sound so good with the VI's built in fx, especially delay and reverbs. But...

Re: Dealing with fx on various VI's and Mixing

So, what makes one a "Pro"? Is the amount of money earned? Do you have to be full time? I've often wondered where the line is between Pro and not-Pro. (perhaps this is for another thread!)
