Re: PCI HD3 - Super Micro X8SAX with PT9?
As Third Eye will recall (from my/his posts 1 year ago), I couldn't get a 3rd PCI-x card to work w/ that MB (on PT8 of course).
Love to hear your new testing results soon...

Re: Suggestions on a powerful MacPro setup for composing with VI's
Daring to chime in from the PC (HD3 Accel) side (after abandoning Macs due to the PCIX card debacle) since no one is zooming in on Park's specific question (possibly due to lack of Mac experience w/...

Re: Bidule rewire's memory use not separate from PTHD?
Thanks for the heads up IO...

Bidule rewire's memory use not separate from PTHD?
I blindly assumed one of the reasons for running VI's via VST out of Bidule Rewire instead of directly via RTAS was to avoid the 4 giga RAM ceiling for PTHD users.
But with this 12 giga RAM...

Bidule rewire’s memory use in PTHD on Win7x64
Bless my naivety…for blindly assuming that VI’s running via VST in Bidule Rewire (instead of running via RTAS directly in PT) would not compete with PTHD8.x for use of the precious 4 giga RAM...

Re: Hardware Settings not being remembered
I should have also clarified that the VI's involved are stock (i.e., AIR and Spectrasonics) and up-to-date and that there's 12 GB ram in the box w/ Omni showing still 1.5-ish GB ram free to use....?
