I am aware of what the iLok ID actually means. I had to create my account at iLok.com in order to register, and I was thinking that because I JUST created the account, that is why it won't work. ...

I am having the EXACT same error. How did you go about resetting your iLok user ID. From what I have found in their support section, resetting the user ID was not possible.
