Okay, I'm stumped. How do I update the firmware on my 003 rack? From searching around, it seems that it is supposed to do that when PT starts, but I never get started because of the 6006 error.

I will try and figure out how to do a firmware update, the firewire driver was already set to legacy as a part of my preinstall optimization.

Same here, 3 year old HP laptop, duocore running XP, with seperate internal audio drive and PT 8.03. I switch between mbox mini, mbox firewire pro, and 003 with no problems at all.

Under the setup menu choose preferences, and on the operations tab on the right side make sure that "Automatically Create New Playlists When Loop Recording" is checked. Should fix you right up.
