Try a new 400/800 adaptor, my first one was not working either. I have a 003 Rack+ and am running Mojave. I just tried upgrading to Catalina, and the 003 definitely did not work - so nobody try...

I have been running into exactly the same problem while trying to migrate my Pro-Tools to a new (used) Mac mini.
I didn't have the money initially to pay for an upgrade plan, but still needed to do...
