Those are just AAX updates to the old plugs. If you already have the auths on your ilok then they would be free. If you do not already own them then you would have to pay for them.

Not knocking your statement, but Avid has I'm sure been at the programming for months, or longer. They have already released AAX to both platforms, and this update for both platforms. They have not...

I do realize that, but the confusion comes from the fact that we mac and PC went from 10.0.1 to 10.1.2 for native. It is what it is but I think it was assumed that since you've released 2 AAX...

So I guess it'll be a few months then for us. UGH! I have wanted to try the varifi plug since day 1. And really wanted to test out how they compare to the RTAS. Actually bummed this time.

I'm for the first time actually mad. So I'll leave it alone but it makes me worried that the windows side has no HDX and now less AAX. And no word from Avid. Are we being left behind?

Yes but of course the Mac side did get them. And there have been major updates to dot releases in the past. 7.4 brought elastic audio.
Not being argumentative I just was really anticipating this...

I don't think Avid cares which platform costs more to us. And I highly doubt the native market is anything less then a 50/50 split.
