Re: no audio past channel 32 in a 64x64 Dante setup?

Thank you for the info.

ProTools not so ultimate then, when a much cheaper app such as Ableton Live supports the full Dante capability of 64x64..

I find this baffling, is it a case of...

I am recording a show from a Yamaha CL5 using the Dante Virtual Soundcard v4.0.3.2

Everything is set up correctly and I can...

Re: Brand new install hangs on load

Never mind - problem solved. No idea how or why.

Took the HD Native card out, uninstalled PT completely. Installed latest drivers again followed by PT 9.0.1, and ran it over CoreAudio - was...

Re: Brand new install hangs on load

I hear you, but 10.6.6 has been qualified for a while, and we're already running a PT HD7 rig on a 12-core Mac Pro and a HD Native rig on another 8-core, both with 10.6.6 and ProTools HD 9.0.1 from...

Re: Fades Clicks Etc When Using Elastic Audio

I believe this is a bug, and hope it will be fixed. It has been logged by Digi/Avid support.

You can *never* do all edit before using EA, because the whole point of PT is that you carry on...

Re: No Mini Out Omni?

Just assign the midi out to 'all' rather than a single midi channel - should be fine!

Re: 3/4 time

How about starting your session at 00:00:30:00 timecode, and your bar 1 at 00:01:00:00? Having a bit of time before bar 1 allows you to set a start marker a little earlier and it'll prolly work fine...

Question Re: iLOK

Are you saying that not only command-[2] will open your session setup, but also you can use Command-[+] and [-] to nudge audio within a region!?

And here's a big hint for any would-be manufacturers out there:

currently there isn't a single company in the world  that makes a standalone USB keypad equivalent to the right-hand of a...

Re: playback glitch

Guys, I'll bet you it's simply a network drive problem.. Disconnect your ethernet, turn off your bluetooth and airport, then try again..

Re: Why won't my dealer sell me an HD Native card by itself?

Oh I'm fully aware of what's going on, and that I should be lucky to get any further plugins in TDM code.. Even GRM Tools v3 is going to be RTAS-only :(

I completely understand the reasons, but...

Re: Music Production Toolkit v1 Crossgrade for PT9

I think the pricing is what's very wrong. I invested in the Production Toolkit, and invested again in upgrading to the Production Toolkit 2.

But now, upgrading to PT9, I am expected to pay the...

Re: Why won't my dealer sell me an HD Native card by itself?

This is only true if you look at sample-based plugins such as big libraries, and maybe Trillian, Omnisphere and such.
But I use a number of synths that require little or no RAM, but would benefit...

Re: Why won't my dealer sell me an HD Native card by itself?

I must say that coming from an HD7, the HD Native is hard to see as an upgrade. My main gripe is that the RTAS engine has never been (and still isn't) anywhere near as dependable as the TDM one. ...

I've never seen this problem either - dragging from workspace is instant. Are you guys positive you're dragging sounds in the correct format from a drive that's got the prescribed format?

But,...

RTAS - constant 5-10% load with no plugins?

I'm running a session at 96KHz, 24-bit, about 75 tracks. I have a HD7 system...

Re: Digidesign Transformation

Actually you can. You simply have to temporarily move the ProTools (LE) application out of its folder while installing the MP version or vice-versa.
Then you can have both co-existing, and run...

Talking Re: TL Metro - No MIDI Click

Hey I'm on your side here.

*rant on*

I'm VERY disappointed with PT8. It's become so much more like Logic 8, which is a total disaster in my view.

It may be cool for newbies, but not for me....

Compatibility status of MelodyneBridge and PT8

With PT8 I received MelodyneBridge 3.1.0.9 as a download.

However, this seems to crash PT8, and looking on the plugin compatibility grid page, only Melodyne Essential (1.8.1.3) and Melodyne Plugin...

Re: How do I get Low Latency Monitoring on 1814 with m-powered pro tools v7?

If you're really about recording live people and instruments, you need PT HD.

It's really that simple, LE and MP are just a way to work on arranging at home, you can't even mix properly on these...

Re: Pro Tools 8 - Pitch shift is not responding

Do you run any third party plugins?

It seems PT8 is VERY sensitive to non-compatible third party software, more so than any version ever before.

And the weird thing is that it'll return very...
