Re: hard drives

My 2 cents.

After a few hard drive failures I like to use smaller drives like 80gb for sessions and audio. The logic: The smaller drives fill up quicker and therefor get used less. I swap them...

Can anyone tell me where to find a source for info on the Keyboard shortcuts? I have the keyboard stickers and could use help. I also have the shortcuts card that came with my PT 001 6.4.
Thanks!

Re: Good condenser mics for overheads?

I compared MXL 2003's with TLM103's, and found not much difference- certainly not worth the extra for the 103's. Nice Yamaha Maple drums btw.

Re: Really Long Sessons (>1hr) Stability

I always record long (2-3+ hours) sessions, and I set the buffer at 128. That's as low as I can go with PT 6.4. I have the amd 2800 with 1 gig memory. A dozen tracks or so, and no problems- even...

Re: Plug-In Latency List...Warning Long Post

How are you measuring the plug-in delay, anyway? I Control/click a track's little "volume" box at the bottom to get the delay info for the plug-ins in that track. If, for example, I see a total...

Re: 20 times more plug-ins ... and nothing at all.

PT 6.4 and Waves V5. If I "bypass" a Ren Verb it overloads the cpu, and I always MUST use a dither before the R-Verb.

Re: Nady RSM-2 Ribbon Mic? Anybody w/ Experience?

Thanks, Elbee1952. Very useful tips! I'm hoping this mic will help warm some thin, shrill vocalists; sounds like maybe it will work, and, as you say, it's cheap enough.
