It works for Mavericks also. The one big downside is if you need to uninstall PT. You would need to do a manual uninstall. But I have it running on my MBP running 10.9.4 and it works fine.

Pro Tools 8.01 will work and was the last version that supported the original mbox. I was using it around 2 years ago on a laptop computer and it worked well.

It's been a long time since I ran 6.4 but I had a blue screen until I updated the pace drivers which I found on the DIGI site. This was 8 years ago though. Updating the drivers did the trick.

Actually from what Mackie originally had on their site you could run Pro Tools 8 MPowered and just have the mackie hooked up by itself.
