Jimmy, that is correct, but it is all I would have hoped for since i didn't pay for DSP versions originally.

Thanks Bruce, I removed the dpm versions and installed the version 11 of Smack and Eleven and now all is well again.

...or more specifically, it replaced my previously working Smack and Eleven plugins with Smack TDM and Eleven TDM. I have auths for Smack LE and Eleven LE which came with my CPTK or MPTK or whatever...

The 11.0.1 update is essential for mac users using McDSP plugins. With 11.0.0 it is necessary to reboot the computer in order to quit protools. Not exactly ideal...

For what it's worth I have PT11HD running fine on a mid 2007 black plastic macbook on OSX 10.7.5, 4 Gig RAM - seems to run a bit smoother than 10.3.5 which worked great as well.

Which is why I put the hd demo on an empty ilok2 on a different ilok account.
Gives me 30 days until I have to make the decision. Hopefully this will all be worked out by then.

I think this is a communication problem between Avid and iLok. I tried to get the 11HD demo but when i entered my iLok ID it said iLok ID not recognised or words to that effect. I definitely 100%...

No you still need an ilok2 for the demo. The reason it is good for those having problems is that you don't have to surrender anything to get it and you can download it onto a spare ilok to keep you...

Yellow peaks vs Red peaks. I get it now. The red peaks (ie on a master channel) work as expected. Thanks for clearing that up Drew.

It seems the peak indicators clear after 3 seconds, regardless of the setting (none, 3 secs, infinite) in the preferences.

I believe that's incorrect. If you do that you get the error message 'This license can only be activated to an iLok2'
