We ran the latests session for 17 hours with out any errors after we changed the disk allocation to 60 min.s

WE have been working for several hours now since I changed the disk allocation with no issues. This session will probably run another couple of hours so I'll update later.

The drives are WD blacks, 1 TB but partitioned into 4 parts.
They are 7200 rpm and have a 64 mb cache, I believe they are 6 Gb/s interface. Specs show a 4.3 ms latency. A Transfer rate of 126 MB/s...

update: this ended up being the Control 24 monitor section failing. I have since bypassed it and I am using an external monitor control till I can get the ribbons replaced in my board.

my experience has been that "pops and cracks" can come from sync issues. If you are running a piece of "hardware" make sure that it is clocked or synced with your system. Just a thought.
