Re: DigiLink I/O, 12.6. Mojave?

^^ yep. But please make sure that Pro Tools is actually starting up as HD (finds the correct HD license). That is the simplest explanation why you are not seeing DigiLink hardware.

Re: DigiLink I/O, 12.6. Mojave?

And I will contribute the idiot comment: Make sure you are running Pro Tools Ultimate or HD. Pro Tools standard will never see the DigiLink... make sure Pro Tools is starting up as Ultimate, you...

Re: For heaven's sake, will you update the drivers for MBOX 3 please, Avid?

If you want to look for a replacement interface you can ask here for suggestions and let folks know what you are doing/connections you need etc. One of the main things many folks here would look for...

Re: For heaven's sake, will you update the drivers for MBOX 3 please, Avid?

Avid *has* abandoned this device. That's exactly what they have done, and they've made that clear. It's end of life. You should not be expecting any software updates.

Re: Low disc space on boot drive mystery

Lots of places to look to see where stuff is growing.

Core files and logs are suspects. Look at all the logs shown by Console.app. /var/log, /usr/local/var etc.

Even simple old UNIX things like...

Re: "Unknown Error" on sign-in with Avid Link

Avid Link like its predecessor is super fragile and buggy. You are just creating problems for yourself. Uninstall Link and download your plugins from your Avid Account and install them manually.

Re: pro tools could not initialize the focusrite usb asio

The normal reasons 48 kHz sessions fail is if some other software has the driver open at any other clock rate (usually 44.1 kHz) then trying to change to 48 kHz will fail. Same likely happens if you...

Re: OK to change bit rate for an existing session?

You are asking about the bit depth, not really the the bit rate (OK the bit rate changes with bit depth art fixed sample rate, but still...). Which may be why you are not finding anything. Folks do...

Re: Pro Tools + ASIO4ALL = Lag so bad I can't record

Yikes. I am at a loss as to what is going on. If you try things and it still happens them maybe posting a video screen capture on Youtube or similar and linking to it here might help to jog ideas...

Re: pro tools could not initialize the focusrite usb asio

Really double check that Windows sound and no other apps are trying to use that interface, that is very likely to be the cause here. Did Focusrite support work through that with you?

Lots of posts...

Re: pro tools could not initialize the focusrite usb asio

Do the latest Focusrite drivers support Windows 7? Ah you can't tell either.... how is anybody supposed to work out OS with is compatible with what?

What exact device are you using as the playback...

Re: USB Audio Routing Question

Knowing the device is a Line 6 Stomp helps.

The Stomp has USB audio out, your first call should probably be be to try using that directly (not an aggregate) there are multiple channels of output...

Re: Pro Tools + ASIO4ALL = Lag so bad I can't record

“High buffer rates”? Something is confused there. A more powerful computer and better set up computer handles lower IO buffer sizes and higher sample rates.

What is your sample rate? Calculate...

What do you mean “PT 10” sees it... as the playback engine?

What exact USB device are you talking about?

The word you are looking for is *monitoring*. Your USB device likely has no hardware...

Re: Pro Tools + ASIO4ALL = Lag so bad I can't record

The very first thing to look at is what is the Playback Engine IO buffer set to? Setup>Playback Engine.

Unfortunately none of your screenshots are useful/legible becase they were downscaled a lot...

Re: Please Help Me Upgrade My Old TDM Rig

Just buy a card if you want to go HDX, used or new. There really is no "core" card, there is only one type of card. Avid persisting with the "core" naming is a little confusing.

Re: Please Help Me Upgrade My Old TDM Rig

Re: Please Help Me Upgrade My Old TDM Rig

If you want “no latency” and lots of plugs including in the monitor path then HDX is the way to go.

In reality I would suggest you try playing with latency and see what low latency is needed.

How are you cloning your boot drive? How will you recover the OS, Pro Tools, all plugins and samples etc.? When the boot drive fails? For that I would use CCC and CCC only... so then once you have...
