Re: New guy here and looking for some advice

1- a POWERED speaker? Yes. The Eleven Rack has no internal power amplifier.
2-Any midi foot controller should work. Some options:
Behringer FCB1010
Voodoo Labs Ground Control or Ground Control Pro...

Re: cursor return to start position

With keyboard focus enabled, the N key toggles this and its really easy accidentally hit that when controlling transport with the spacebar:o

Re: HOW TO: Skip over measures?

Studio One also offers this(IIRC) and it would be nice if PT allowed for it as it makes for fast auditioning of arrangement changes(and the suggestion has been sent to developers at Avid). Maybe in...

Re: Single 34'' monitor for pt?

If I was starting over today, I probably would do a pair of ultrawide(stacked, not side by side). and maybe a 3rd 27" above that for stuff I need in view, but don't want covering the MIX or EDIT...

Re: audio Pops & clicks outside DAW

As with all Windows setups, things will work better if you designate Windows to NOT use your Pro Tools interface as the default playback device:o Having the OS and Pro Tools fighting over control of...

Re: Listening to plugin when PT is only record enabled.

This is going the long way around as there is no reason to record the EQ. Just insert the EQ plugin on your piano track and set buffer to 64. Plugins on audio tracks affect the sound AFTER it is...

Doesn't seem to work for me either. Just use Post Reply instead(I never even noticed the Quick Reply button until reading your post:eek::p).

You are running LE 8? What version of OSX? Maxim should not be an issue unless you have an unsupported combination of older PT with newer OSX. Beyond that, Maxim has never been one of my...

Re: Aggregate Device- 2nd unit is not working

Aggregate is not an ideal solution and you would likely be better off using only the Ensemble(unless its not handy like if you were traveling light).:o

Re: PT 10 and i5 on 2005 Mac pro.

This could be bad:o Here's why:
1-assuming you are getting another Mac, the OS is likely to not be compatible with Pro Tools 10
2-i5 is not a great choice as you need lots of horsepower to do...

Re: Unplugging Fast Track Solo Crashes with Blue Screen Win 10

Well, M-Audio is not Avid anymore(part of why their drivers now are not so good). Since you should have Windows sound properties set so Windows doesn't use the FT, I would simply leave it connected...

Re: protools 7-band EQ problem (rewrite parameter on clips that are not selected)

Not sure, but your method seems convoluted to me. If I need different EQ at points on the same track, I would usually insert 2 EQ III plugins and automate the BYPASS button so each EQ plugin is only...

Re: Mixing with Reamp - Wide Guitars

Here's one more trick that may help; Let's say you have 2 mono guitar tracks(same part but played twice). Add a send on each to its own MONO AUX track. Pan the AUX track opposite of the source...

Re: Loathe and Despise Win-10

I also cursed Win10 for a solid 2 months, but now I have gotten used to it enough, and changed settings enough that it no longer bothers me. FWIW, I am religious about drive imaging and cloning(the...

Re: Unplugging Fast Track Solo Crashes with Blue Screen Win 10

Some things to consider:
1-don't disconnect any hardware without ejecting it first(this goes for an interface, USB memory sticks, external hard drives, etc)
2-don't disconnect the interface with...

image 1-just the OS installed and tweaked...

AFAIK, yes, you get a full year of updates.

While I would NEVER install any update the moment its released(always good to let others try and see what the reports are), I WOULD(and do) download...

Re: Fast Track C600 Digital OUT

I would recommend you sell the C600 and add an 8-channel lightpipe preamp via the lightpipe input of the Apollo. The C600 is not really designed to do what you need, and you can actually get 8 more...

Re: PT 12.8.2 Virtual Instrument latency

Running 12.8.2 here and have no latency issues playing VI's from a midi keyboard(Motif es8). I'd start looking at other sources of latency(granted, I don't run UA Apollo and never track with UA...
