Could it be something in the room that is causing the noise? I've had noise issues with other gear that was caused by different types of lighting, and even ceiling fans.

I have discovered that if you are running your rig in stereo using XLRs out, but forget to turn on one of your speakers, the chorus can make things sound quite funky. I probably spent an hour one...

I use a 5 to 7 pin cable(with a power adapter connecter at the 11R end) with my Midi Mate, but it sounds like the Midi Moose uses a 5 pin cable...

It's a little overkill for what you're looking for, but the price isn't bad and it's pretty simple to use. The 5-7 pin cable lets plug in the power adapter near the 11R instead of running power...

I also run through the PA and only use my wedge if not using in-ear monitors.
In that case I run one xlr to the PA and the other thru the wedge to the PA. Unless for some reason the PA isn't running...

I play occasionally at a couple local churches. I always go direct, and occasionally use my Mackie 450v2 speaker on stage if not using in-ears.

A side note ... I really don't enjoy using in-ears.
