The problem with even paying $99 a year, is avid, has no incentive for updates.
They all ready have the money, does not matter anymore if an update is lame, or late.
Used to be you had a choice....

a few notes on the 5,1 dual processor , I have found its better to fill memory slots 123 then 567, leave 4 and 8 empty, geek bench scores jump up a great deal in doing so, and beat a few trash can...

yes the old m box 2 will work , from pt 9 up any class compliant inter face will work...
That said.....
there are so many killer interfaces out there its a great time to upgrade the old m box 2......

well an hdtv is better, it looks better it works better.
what I see from reading about the artist series...is cracked or warping faceplates, buggy eucon that is works slower than the old command...
