Will the MBOX 2 play normal Windows Audio??? HELP

I appear to only be able to get the MBOX 2 to work with ProTools 6.8.1 and some other audio software.
But does the MBOX 2 support the normal Microsoft Windows audio... i.e play CD's or Audio from...

I have tried the MME helper and added QuickTime to the list but there is still no Audio from Windows or DVD's.
Does anyone with the MBOX 2 hear the normal Microsoft Windows sounds?

Just installed my new MBOX 2 and ProTools 6.8.1
Protools works just fine with good audio output.
What has happened to my Windows sounds they do not play any more.
There is also no sound from DVD,s...
